Manufacturer recommends 20 mg/ml
as the maximum concentration, however, some studies have used
concentrations up to 100 mg/ml.
Supplied: 5 g/20ml & 24g/96ml
vials. Treatment of acute bleeding syndromes:
Usual dose: 4-5
grams IV during the first hour followed by a continuous infusion: 1 to
1.25 grams/hour. Maintenance doses may be given ivpb (Exp: 3 grams ivpb
q3h etc). Doses above 30 grams/24 hours are not recommended. |
